The Washington metropolitan area is the metropolitan area centered on Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. The area includes all of the federal district and parts of the U.S. states of Maryland and Virginia, along with a small portion of West Virginia.

 

The Washington metropolitan area is the most educated and, by some measures, the most affluent metropolitan area in the United States. As of the 2012 U.S. Census Bureau estimate, the population of the Washington metropolitan area was estimated to be 5,860,342, making it the largest metropolitan area in the Census' Southeast region and the seventh-largest metropolitan area in the country.

Extensive experience, over 32 years, in the public safety management, fighting crime, organized crime, inside threats, corruption and terrorism. 


For the last twenty-five years, Flavio has been one of Brazil's prominent law enforcement professional as the Head of Police. During this time, he developed a unique combination of extensive criminal investigative, intelligence and executive protection experience within the highest level of the Brazilian government. He also established close cooperation with other police forces, government agencies, security companies and intelligence professionals from around the world.


Flavio's brilliant career includes working for several years as part of the elite Presidential Protective Detail and being personally responsible for protecting the lives of several Presidents and their families as well as numerous foreign Heads of State and Government during their visits in Brazil.


Few of the skills he acquired over the years are, the capacity to provide organizational leadership during times of crisis through the development and actual execution of continuity operational plans and emergency contingency plans. Also, the ability to conduct criminal investigations, to design and implement security plans to protect people and assets. Security program management, threat and risk assessments, analysis of the physical and electronic security of buildings, emergency response planning, implementation of security training's, internal audits, corporate operations, security risk management for loss and fraud prevention, facility security, internal affairs, intelligence matters, human resource management, budget development and operational supervision. 


 Flavio Luiz TRIVELLA, takes pride in being internationally recognized as an expert on the matter. He has taught protective detail protocols in the training academies of all the police agencies of Brazil and the LEOS-PBA, LEOSU-DC & LEOSU is honored to have Flavio Luiz TRIVELLA on our Executive Boards & Team.
