One day after our Victory at Medstar Washington Hospital Center the Special Police Officers working

Washington DC - August 4 - Less than 24 hours after the results of an election announcing that the special Police officers, public safety officers and dispatchers working atMedstar Washington Hospital Center had voted UNION YES to join the LEOSU-DC, the special police officers working at Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital immediately contacted the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions (LEOSU-DC) Washington DC asking how they to can join our union LEOSU-DC).

Within two hours of their phone call, the majority of Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital had signed up to join the LEOSU-DC, one hour later, the union had filed an election with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Region 5 in Washington DC to conduct a secret ballot election.

Steve Maritas LEOSU-DC Organizing Director noted that after winning the Medstar Washington Hospital Center election the union has received several calls for special police officers working at several Medstar affiliated hospitals seeking to join the fight for RESPECT and fair representation.
