318 Paragon PSO's in NYC Receive a unprecedented 7.5% Wage & H&W Increase in Just the Fi
New York City August 21, 2020. Negotiations for 318 Paragon Systems Inc, Protective Service Officers working throughout New York City, the Bronx and Westchester achieved the unthinkable when LEOSU and its bargaining committee successfully negotiated a 7.5% wage increase coming this October which includes a $1.54 an hour wage increase plus an additional $0.53 cent increase in their Health & Welfare. In total these NYC Paragon protective service officers PSO's will receive a total of $2.07 wage & H&W increase October 1, 2020. Thereafter both the Union & Management have agreed to wage re-openers.
Mohamed Keita, who was one of the bargaining committee members noted "the 7.5% wage & H&W increase was one of the highest wage increases he has ever seen on this NYC federal contract. We are ecstatic and so will be the LEOSU members when they here what we were able to achieve" noted Keita.
Based on the $2.07 wage increase these NYC Paragon PSO's will now be receiving this October, these officers will now be the highest paid PSO officers in NYC. In addition to the above, the Union was successful in negotiating major language changes and better working conditions. Ongoing discussions between the Union & management will continue at our monthly Zoom labor management meetings as the Union is establishing its own Health & Welfare Trust Fund which will provide better healthcare benefits and options at a more affordable rate.
